Thanks to your generosity, we serve more than 24,000 meals to older persons each year!   Over 2020 meals a month are home-delivered to homebound older adults. That’s 190 patrons! And an average of 40 congregate lunch meal patrons are served in our dining room Monday through Friday.   Over 40,000 trips are provided to an average of 475 different Bond County residents via Bond County Transit each year.   Information on Medicare, insurance, income taxes, and other expense saving programs was supplied over 5,000 times to hundreds of residents.   During February-April 2025, we helped over 250 income taxpayers save at least $17,000 in tax prep fees and brought back more than $200,000 in federal and state refunds to the clients and the community.   Each month, the Food Pantry provides food to an average of 200 Bond County families.   That’s 650 people, about 300 being children!

Subaru Share the Love Event - Meals On Wheels America

Subaru “Share The Love” Event supports Meals on Wheels at Bond County Senior Center

For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from mid November, through early January, Subaru will donate a minimum of $300 to the purchaser’s choice of a participating charity, one of which is Meals on Wheels. At the time of 2025’s promotion, Share the Love had helped deliver nearly 5 million meals to America’s seniors. Meals on Wheels America, along with ASPCA, are the only national partners that have participated in Subaru’s Share the Love Event since its inception in 2005. Subaru and its retailers support Meals on Wheels because it’s part of their commitment—to leaving the world a better place than they found it through the core values of trust and love.
Through Meals on Wheels America and Subaru, Bond County Senior Citizens Center, Inc. has received 18 grants (as of 2025). These grants help fund our local Meals on Wheels program. If you are considering a new vehicle, please consider Subaru and support the charities!
