It began as a valentine mystery at the Bond County Senior Center. Valentines from Texas, California, Massachusetts, and New York trickled and then poured in the days leading up to Valentine's Day. Anna Oestreich, Senior Center director, told the Chamber Sun, "We couldn't figure out why they were coming. Luckily one of the envelopes had dosomething.org written on it." This clue unraveled the heartfelt mystery.

Do Something is an organization that encourages young people from ages 13 to 25 to make an impact in their community and the world. Oestreich said she has no idea why the Bond County Senior Center was selected but over 250 valentines were received. All of the Center's home-delivered meal recipients were given at least one valentine. They were also given to those who had lunch at the Senior Center on Valentine's Day. The remaining valentines were posted on a wall at the Center. Oestreich acknowledged that this simple gesture brightened the day of many local seniors.
